Welcome to the website of Enode Industrial Networks
Enode is the company of Rob Hulsebos, a Dutch industrial network expert.
I have been involved with industrial networks since 1985, when they were in the
proces of being invented. I consider myself to be the first Profibus-user of the
Netherlands (1993), and have developed products and applications using industrial
networks ever since: Profibus, Bitbus, Modbus, CAN, CAN/Open, Ethercat, TCP/IP, ....
As of 1993, I started writing articles and book about industrial networks. More than
200 articles have since then appeared in the trade press. Also, I am the author of
two books, and have co-authored several others, among these is a 2000+ page
reference book on industrial networks.
In 1997 I started the "Fieldbus Pages", containing a list of more than 300 industrial
networks and information about them. This is the world's premier portal for finding
further information (URL's, user groups, books, standards, etc). All this without
commercial ads!
Since 1997, I have started seminars. In the last 10 years, more than 3000 people
have attended my seminars. I also give guest lectures at educational institutions,
and help to develop / write the curriculum and exams.
Since 2000, I am partly self-employed and have expanded my activities to provide
consultancy and trouble-shooting support. For the other part of my time I am employed
by a high-tech industrial controller manufacturer.
I am not connected to any fieldbus supplier or interest group, and completely independent.
I don't sell any product, only my knowledge in this area: the best network for the job at hand.

Whence "Enode" ?
Enode is a part of the village of Nuenen, where I live. Networks have electronic nodes.
It sounds technical, it sounds "network", and is good to pronounce in many languages.
