Welcome to the Fieldbus Reference List, now entering its tenth year in existence since I started this webpage which is now collecting some 500 hits per month.
New is an extensive comparison of the Profibus, Interbus, AS-Interface, DeviceNet, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus and Ethercat. Until now, other companies'comparisons did not go further than about 10 properties (to make it fit snugly on 1 A4). But this is hardly sufficient in case one needs to make a proper comparison. That is why I started with these other systems compared on dozens of different aspects!
Read it for yourself at buscomparison.pdf Please let me know in case you'd like to have more systems added, or more details added (vendors or publishers note: contact me first for any non-personal use!). On the remainder of this site you'll find the world's largest set of references to fieldbus systems and industrial networks; the count has been steadily growing to some 400 systems, for 280 of those references are available. Also you'll find references to almost 120 books, dozens of international standards, and scores of user groups, vendor associations and trade groups. Often illegally copied, republished without due credit, or used in other's fieldbus collection lists, this is definitely the starting point for anyone interested in this technology. And another major plus: no ads! I don't sell anything (except my own seminars on this subject of course :-).
Start here for the Fieldbus Reference List, in case you still haven't found what you need, search the Usenet news-archives Or try www.google.com ...
